Thank you much for the advise! I will now spend the weekend filling my car up with unnecessary items!!! And get painting!!! X
Hi there and thank you for your question. Updating your home on a budget is entirely achievable with a little creativity and a dash of resourcefulness!
Declutter: Probably the biggest thing you can do is remove unnecessary items. Be disciplined (book a tip run) and you'll be rewarded with a room that feels more spacious and organised. You can then try a few different furniture arrangements to give your space a new feel without spending a penny.
Paint: A fresh coat of paint is a cheap way to transform your home. Light, neutrals brighten up your space and make it feel larger, while darker colours add a dramatic, sophisticated feel. For a quick weekend project, paint an accent wall. You don't have to commit to painting the entire room to get a whole new look.
DIY Projects: Have fun getting crafty and create a large artwork canvas. You can use leftover paints and channel your inner Jackson Pollack!
Update your accessorises: New cushions, rugs or curtains add personality and style to your home. If you're on a budget, check out places like Primark, B&M and The Range.
Greenery: Incorporate plants into your home décor to add a sense of freshness for spring. If you're not naturally green-fingered, TK Maxx and M&S have very great fake versions.
Focus on Details: Pay attention to the small details. Replacing cabinet knobs, door handles and light switch plates can really make a noticeable difference.
Hope those help, I'd love to hear other ideas x
